Hannah williams

is celebrated her tenth year of being a yoga teacher in 2017. She is loving being the Yoga Coordinator for, Alive+Well, a beautiful wellness center opening in the spring of 2018 in Bee Cave. She's a self proclaimed "professional juggler" because of her refined balancing skills as a former studio owner, teacher, forever student, singer, songwriter, busy mom of two little girls, Emalina and Paisley and wife of her husband and songwriting partner, Damon. Of course, yoga is the root of her life on and off the mat and keeps her grounded. Hannah is a registered teacher through Yoga Alliance at the level of ERYT 200 and PRYT (Experienced yoga teacher and Registered Prenatal Yoga teacher) She teaches alignment based flow classes, Hatha, Prenatal, Postnatal, workshops for labor and delivery and "Yoga for Singers and Performers". She embodies a relaxed, casual and friendly demeanor making her students feel right at home.
Hannah fell in love with yoga when she attended her first class in 1994. She had never felt so connected and aware of her body, mind and spirit. Her love of yoga and influenced by her teachers’ abilities to make positive change, led her to her 200 hour teacher training in January of 2007 at Yoga Yoga in Austin, TX. Her life had been positively changed forever. At the tail end of her training she became pregnant and dove into prenatal yoga studies.
She became certified to teach pre and postnatal yoga in 2008 through Leslie Lytle's OmMamma training. Creating a place for mamas to connect, strengthen and feel empowered as they prepare for birth and motherhood is one of her greatest passions. Her classes aim to prevent diastasis recti (separation of the abdominal muscles) and protect the pelvic floor. These are two topics that she feels aren't discussed enough and it's her mission to help bring these subjects to light.
Hannah has further studied vinyasa flow with Shiva Rae and Seane Corn, bringing a flowy element to her teaching. She transformed again in her 100 hour Anusara Yoga Immersion with one of her favorites, Mandy Eubanks of Every One Yoga School. She learned even more about the birthing process in her 100 hours of Birthing From Within training. In addition to yoga, Hannah loves to weight train with her husband six days a week. Hannah and her family have also begun their Kung Fu journey through the Shaolin-Do School in Lakeway, TX. Discovering the similarities between Kung Fu and Yoga have been eye-opening and have enhanced her teaching style style as well. Aside from fitness, she also has taken up studying Italian for the past year. It's something she has always wanted to do and would love to plan Italian retreats in the future.
One of Hannah’s greatest assets is her ability to connect with her students and build community. Her classes are fun, rooted in alignment and usually accompanied by an eclectic playlist or a song of her own!
